Ms. Jill has worked with children since 2003, and in 2015 she received her Certification of Child Development, along with a certification for Expanding Quality in Infant & Toddler Care from the State of Colorado – in addition to her bachelor’s degree from University of Colorado in Psychology.
“I enjoy working with children of all ages, but have a special place in my heart for toddlers!” – says Ms. Jill. – “As an educator, I believe in a constructivist approach. I think that toddlers and younger children learn best through play, especially when surrounded by a supportive and caring team of teachers. I believe that focusing on developing resilience, independence and social development, while making sure each child feels secure and respected, really helps them shine. It is my goal that the kids and families in my room feel engaged, challenged and supported, and that all families feel represented and respected.”
Ms. Jill is an active member of the Boulder GLBT community and a local artist and dancer. She enjoys spending her free time with friends, cuddling with her cat Riley, and working on art projects that, she admits, usually leave her living room a mess. Ms. Jill claims to be a “zombie enthusiasts” and a belly dancer!
