Relocating – We’re all in this together

Dee De La Mora, Toddlers Team LeaderTeachers

Change is a natural part of life, especially modern life. As adults we can usually consider and handle or even welcome change. But can our young ones? They, on the other hand, generally look for stability.

Chronicles of a silly teacher

Perla Yarley CasasTeachers

Today I want to talk about a very unusual topic: how being silly with your kids can help with their personalities and development. Being silly helps them to develop the ability to bond.

The Creative Minds of Children

Bernadette LimTeachers

There are so many ways that children can be creative and express themselves through art mediums.  Art is a prime example of how children relate and reflect the world around them and themselves.

Infant Random Actions? Mais non! Merci Monsieur Piaget!

Do infants really understand what’s going on around them? Can they actually form ideas and have a mind of their own? Most of us would say yes, and you are indeed, correct. While it is clear to us that infants can form thoughts in their minds, it was once believed that children without language skills lacked any kind of cognition and understanding. This included the ability to think and/or form ideas.

Saying Goodbye Can Be Hard

As Shakespeare wrote, “Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow” – for any of us regardless of age.

Stories from the front line

Ms. Lauren, Substitute teacherTeachers

ScuttleBugs has an amazing team of directors who are willing to listen to you and understand where you are coming from regardless of if you are a substitute teacher. I had encountered a challenging work situation. When I had decided to discuss it with one of the directors, she made me feel comfortable with talking to her about my problem and we were able to come up with a cooperative solution.

Water Play

Perla Yarley, Toddler Assistant TeacherTeachers

Who doesn’t enjoy a hot sunny day at the beach, lake or river? Unfortunately, because of our busy lives, we don’t always have the opportunity to take our little ones to refresh themselves. But don’t worry, because here at ScuttleBugs we know the importance of water in our lives – and expose and teach the children accordingly.

Pre-K Graduation 2017

Ms. Sumita N., Pre K Team LeaderTeachers

We just had our graduation last week! Some of these children have been with us from infancy; it must be a huge milestone for these families to leave ScuttleBugs behind as they move forward onto the next steps of their lives. But these kids always leave a part of themselves with me and that remains in my heart forever.
